[android] 안드로이드에서도 던전디펜더를..!!!!

Our friends from Trendy Entertainment just informed us that their game Dungeon Defenders: Fist Wave is coming to the Android Market on December 23rd. This is a significant milestone for Android devices because it’s the first time that we have seen a game powered by the Unreal Engine, which many console and PC games are built with.

At first we thought the Unreal Engine might be limited to Android devices with dual-core processors, but later we learned it would be coming to many existing phones. Trendy Entertainment tells us the requirements for their game will be an 800 MHz CPU or great, 512 MB RAM, Android 2.1 or later, and at least 400 MB free space on your SD card.

Epic Games just released the new Unreal Developer Kit (UDK) with support for iOS, but the public Android release is coming later. Mark Reign, VP and Co-Founder of Epic Games, tweeted that iOS is their focus for now and Android will be coming later.

I expect we will hear an announcement about UDK support for Android next month at CES. Once that is publicly available, it will mean that all the big game studios can easily get their games running on Android. I’ve seen Dungeon Defenders run on the iPhone and it looks pretty awesome, so we are pretty excited to get our hands on it in a couple weeks. The game is said to offer cross-platform online play so we should be able to game with our iOS friends soon enough. 던전디팬더가 12월 23일 안드로이드마켓에 올라올 예정이다. 안드로이드 기반에서 이런 언리얼엔진을 구동하는건 굉장한 일로써, 언리얼엔진은 PC에서나 사용되었던것이기 때문이다. (음.. 이미 아이폰에선.. -0-;;)
처음컨셉에서는 듀얼코어에서 될줄 알았지만, 현재폰으로도 충분했다. 800 MHz CPU or great, 512 MB RAM, Android 2.1 or later, and at least 400 MB free space on your SD card 스펙에서도 충분히 즐길수 있다.

에픽게임은 이미 iOS에서 UDK(언리얼엔진)으로 제품을 내놨고(인피니티블레이드죠?) 마크레인은(에픽게임 지주) 안드로이드에도 게임을 내놓을 예정이라 밝혔다.(오~ 안드로이드에서도 인피니티블레이드를???)

던전디팬더 테스트를 하고 나서 굉장히 놀랐고, 아마... 2주후에 발매를 할거 같으다.
아마도 이제 iOS 친구들(아이폰유저들)과도 같이 게임을 할수 있을것으로 예상된다.(온라인에서...)

>역주 : 던전디펜더는 현재 아이폰 유저중에서도 평이 갈리고 있다. 한글화가 안되서 불편하다.. 그러나 게임자체는 잘 만들었다... 획기적인 게임으로 완전 쩐다... 등 주로 한글화때문의 불평이 있고, 나머지는 굉장히 재밌다... 그러나 버벅거림이 없지 않다... 는 평이다.
